Melissa Hicks, CPA

Professional Experience

Melissa obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Morehead State University in 2002. Since that time, she has been practicing public accounting at Dean Dorton. The majority of her career has been spent providing tax planning, compliance, and accounting services for privately-held businesses and individuals.

Melissa has over 20 years of public accounting experience, all at Dean Dorton. During her tenure at Dean Dorton, she has become a go-to technical advisor specializing in partnership and equine taxation.

Melissa has a broad range of experience working with clients across various industries. She focuses her practice on high-net-worth family groups, real estate, and the equine industry.
