Joseph Overhults, CPA

Professional Experience

Joseph has over 20 years of public accounting experience. He serves as the quality control director for Dean Dorton’s assurance practice and leader of the firm’s employee benefit plan audit practice. Throughout his career, he has provided audit, accounting, and consulting services to clients in a wide variety of industries, including, but not limited to, government, insurance, third-party administrators, nonprofits, and healthcare.

Joseph is a member of the firm’s natural resources, healthcare, and nonprofit industry teams. His client roster includes organizations with up to $16 billion in assets.

Joseph has provided audit and advisory services to construction entities for more than 20 years. As part of his annual continuing education, he attends courses that are focused on issues affecting the construction industry.
