Erica Horn, Associate Director of Tax Services, is one of 55 leaders selected from a large pool of applicants to be part of the 2018 Leadership Kentucky program. Leadership Kentucky, founded in 1985, joins together a selected group of leaders, with a variety of career accomplishments and volunteer activities, to gain insight into complex issues facing the state. The program provides a thought-provoking experience focusing on the attributes of leadership and what it means to be a leader. By visiting various regions of the Commonwealth, the participants develop an enhanced view and a new meaning to the word community that spans the entire state.
Erica will meet her classmates for the first time on Wednesday to kick off the program, which will allow her to meet with Kentucky leaders and explore the state’s resources and opportunities over the next six months. During her time with Leadership Kentucky, she is most excited to “meet people from across the state and obtain an understanding of how they perceive Kentucky.”
“I look forward to obtaining a better understanding of the overall economy of Kentucky (as opposed to the economies of Lexington and Louisville), as well as the interests and needs of other citizens of the Commonwealth.”
Other professionals participating in the Leadership Kentucky class of 2018 come from companies including Dinsmore, BB&T, University of Kentucky, Duke Energy, Brown-Forman, Anthem, United Way, and Humana.
