Smart Implementation: Thinking Past the Software

Businesses often step into change because they know they need a better-fitting software solution. However, what they may not know is that the software implementation can be just as important as the solution itself. It can often make the difference between a rocky start, or a streamlined transition, and in some cases, can leave the company in a better position than it was in before.
Such was the case when Massey’s team met TrainingPros – a highly-specialized professional services company based out of Atlanta that focuses on learning, professional development, and staffing.
TrainingPros was excited to improve their workflow with Sage Intacct – a best-in-class cloud accounting software solution – but wanted support with bringing the new software on board. They wanted an experienced VAR partner that really understood professional service companies and their needs.
BEYOND THE SOFTWARE
When Massey stepped in to help, they discovered that TrainingPros needed help beyond the software to create a timely map of implementation to avoid an overlap in old and new services, and also needed improvements in their billing process.
With implementation expertise, Massey designed custom workarounds for TrainingPro’s 1099 vendors to streamline data entry and manage payments more efficiently, to provide greater flexibility in reporting, and integration with their other mission-critical software solutions already in place.
Because TrainingPros renewal for their previous software system was coming around soon, TrainingPros needed a swift and effective implementation map to ensure that they would have Sage Intacct’s solution up and running before their old system’s renewal.
Massey’s expert collaboration with TrainingPros had them set up and running smoothly, allowing time for their CFO, Jill Vogin to facilitate the transition from old system to new.
“The entire team was very conscientious and responsive to my concerns of both budget and timeline. They always had positive attitudes no matter the situation at hand.”
– Jill Vogin, TrainingPros CFO
