Join Dean Dorton tax team members Maddie Schueler and Doug Dean as they discuss tax planning ideas that deserve current consideration now that last November’s federal election results have been finally resolved. Rather than a recapitulation of all of President Biden’s tax proposals issued during his campaign, their discussion focuses on just those potential changes that merit consideration before enactment.

JD D’Annunzio joined our Technology team in Louisville. He has more than eight years of IT experience and earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Louisville.
Andrew Hibbert joined our Offices Services team in Louisville. He has more than six years of experience in various office support roles.
Cindy Hughes joined our Office Services team in Louisville. She has 14 years of experience in various management and support roles. Cindy earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern Indiana.
Joie Kaufman joined our Office Services team in Louisville. She has more than 35 years of work experience, mainly in various client and customer service roles. Joie earned her bachelor’s degree in business education and marketing from the University of Kentucky.
Chad Luttrell, a CPA, rejoined our tax team. He earned his bachelor’s degrees in accounting and economics from Bellarmine University.
Zack Mitchell joined our Human Resources team in Louisville. He has more than three years of experience in human resources roles. Zack earned his bachelor’s degree in integrated strategic communications from the University of Kentucky.
Michael Mykyta joined our Technology team in Louisville. He has more than three years of IT experience. Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in computer technology with a minor in business administration and computer security from Ball State University in Muncie, IN.
Cyndi Potts joined our Healthcare Solutions team in Louisville. She has more than 15 years of experience in the health insurance industry. Cyndi earned her bachelor’s degree in general studies (literature and history) from Indiana University Southeast.
Kaydee Ruppert, a CPA, joined our Accounting and Financial Outsourcing team, working remotely from Wisconsin. She has more than 15 years of accounting, finance, and administration experience, most recently serving as an outsourced CFO for various nonprofit organizations. Kaydee earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Viterbo College in La Crosse, Wisconsin and her master’s degree in administrative science from the University of Wisconsin.
Hannah Sadler joined our Human Resources team in Louisville. She has more than two years of experience in corporate human resources with a focus on recruiting. Hannah earned her bachelor’s degree in mass communication and digital media and her MBA with a focus in human resources management from Campbellsville University.
Thomas Tutchings joined our Technology team in Raleigh. He has accounting and data analytics experience. Thomas recently earned his bachelor’s degree in information technology with a minor in business from University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Jen Shah presented tax updates for the equine industry at a United Professional Horsemen’s Association webinar. She also presented Breeder of the Year at the 50th Annual Eclipse Awards, hosted by National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA).
Simon Keemer presented on the topic of ethics to the Kentucky Chapter of the Government Finance Officers Association.
Erica Horn and John Wurtenberger presented on Payment Protection Program loans for the Kentucky Small Business Development Center.
Matt Smith spoke about the financial and tax aspects of owning a dental practice to dental students at an event organized by the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry’s Student Dental Business Organization.
