Dean Dorton, one of the leading accounting and advisory firms in the Southeast, announces that its Louisville office is moving operations out of its current downtown Louisville office space, and to a brand new, high-tech office in the ShelbyHurst Office Campus on the East End.

Dean Dorton is leasing the entire fourth floor of a brand new building located at 435 North Whittington Parkway and Hurstbourne Trace, just north of Shelbyville Road in the ShelbyHurst Office Campus. The firm’s continued growth in the Louisville market requires more square footage and the new space will nearly double the firm’s current office square-footage. Dean Dorton hopes to be operating in the new space by January 2021.

“The move to the ShelbyHurst Office Campus allows us to support our existing and future growth in the Louisville market,” said David Bundy, President and CEO of Dean Dorton. “We are excited to grow our firm in a new, modern space. We believe this space will be more accessible for our clients and create a great working environment for our Louisville based team members.”

Dean Dorton, with roots dating back to 1921, has called 500 W. Jefferson Street, Suite 1400, its downtown Louisville home for the past seven years. Approximately 100 team members will make the move into the new space.

The 435 Building, standing at four stories tall and encompassing 120,000 square feet, is the fifth new building in the office park. Managed by NTS Development Company, it continues the park’s innovative and iconic architecture, and features an environmentally sensitive design which is expected to receive LEED certification.

“We are very excited to have Dean Dorton as an anchor tenant in our latest office building at ShelbyHurst,” said Brian Lavin, President and Chief Executive Officer of NTS. “As we continue to expand ShelbyHurst Office Campus, partnerships with companies such as Dean Dorton, that bring such a rich history and commitment to innovation within their industry, is a testament to the vision for ShelbyHurst.”

“Dean Dorton selecting ShelbyHurst for their corporate headquarters in Louisville adds to the prominent tenant base here at ShelbyHurst Office Campus,” said Tony Fluhr, Senior Vice President at NTS. “David and his leadership team recognized the value, environment, and culture ShelbyHurst affords their company and employees.”

Other tenants at ShelbyHurst include prominent companies such as BrightSpring Health Services, Steel Technologies, Churchill Down Incorporated (NASDAQ: CHDN), Ventas (NYSE: VTR), Semonin Realtors, Lloyd & McDaniel, UBS Financial Services (NYSE: UBS), and Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated (NYSE: SF).

NTS, the sole owner, is managing the development, construction, leasing, operations, and marketing of the new building. When fully developed, the ShelbyHurst Office Campus is expected to have more than 1.5 million square feet of space in multiple buildings.
