Dean Dorton is excited to announce that we now offer peer review services for public accounting firms across the nation.

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) requires public accounting firms to participate in a peer review every three years by an independent firm to evaluate their system of quality control for their accounting and auditing practice. Our expert peer review team will review CPA firms’ work products and procedures to ensure they meet the standards established by the AICPA.

We now offer a complete package of peer review services, including system reviews, engagement reviews, quality control reviews, and pre- and post-issuance reviews. Our team of peer reviewers have experience in various fields, including employee benefit plans, Yellow Book, single audits, PCAOB auditing standards, SOC, and more. They specialize in an array of client industries, including construction, equine, healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit.

“As a longstanding active member of the AICPA, including its Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center and Government Audit Quality Center, we’re excited to be offering peer reviews to CPA firms across the country,” said David Bundy, President and CEO at Dean Dorton. “Our full-service review provides firms with suggestions for best practices that will help strengthen quality control, improve processes, and enhance efficiencies.”
