Dean Dorton, one of the leaders of audit, tax, technology, and business consulting services in the Southeast, announces that its Lexington office is moving operations into the Lexington Financial Center (Big Blue) effective November 11.

Dean Dorton, founded in Lexington in 1979, has called 106 W. Vine St. its downtown home for the last 34 years. More than 160 Dean Dorton team members will move into a completely renovated, state of the art office space in downtown Lexington’s most iconic building, the Lexington Financial Center. Dean Dorton will occupy the 11th– 15th floors in “Big Blue.”

The move was prompted by the need for leading-edge work spaces to accommodate the firm’s continual growth. While the location offers continued proximity to Dean Dorton’s clients in equine, higher education, manufacturing, energy, construction, real estate, health care and nonprofits, this move best positions the firm to continue to provide world-class client service and further its expansion of cybersecurity services, outsourced accounting services, and the firm’s other consulting and advisory practices.

David Bundy, President and CEO, Dean Dorton

“This office move is another step forward for us as a firm. We are continually looking for valuable opportunities for both our clients and our team members and this newly renovated space gives us room to operate in a more efficient and productive environment that accommodates the way our people work today. Our new space is more collaborative, facilitates increased communication, and allows us to continue our tradition of innovation as a firm.”

The new office space features nine conference rooms, three break rooms with pantries, a large modern high-tech training room with a food service space, a custom designed marketing studio and all new creative spaces that will enhance both internal and external workflow and communication. Team members’ work stations are also getting an upgrade with all new Vari-desks (electronic adjustable workstations). The firm’s infrastructure technology team who traditionally serves our clients, has taken special interest in upgrading all technology within the firm from video phones and the newest Cisco video conferencing systems to Wi-Fi optimization and seamless server design and integration given the hexagonal nature of the Big Blue building.

Dean Dorton partnered with noted Lexington commercial real estate firm The Webb Companies for tenant representation and Interspace on build-out and tenant services.

The Lexington office move will begin on Friday, November 8 and proceed over the weekend, with normal business operations resuming on Monday, November 11. There will not be any disruptions to regular business hours during the move.
