2019 Higher Education Training Day: Current Issues and Trends

Please join us on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 as we discuss accounting and finance, student financial aid, and risk management related to higher education. In addition to presentations by Dean Dorton team members, we are delighted to have speakers from the National Association of College and University Business Officers, Commonfund, and The Learning House. As colleges and universities continue to face pressure to reduce their bottom lines and increase enrollment, we hope this year’s seminar will provide powerful insights and give attendees many considerations for implementing strategic solutions.

This training is complimentary and is intended for anyone in the finance and accounting, student financial aid, and internal audit departments including but not limited to Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance, Chief Business Officer and Director of Student Financial Aid. The training will allow up to 7 hours of CPE.

Topics include:

  • Institutional planning and budgeting, presented NACUBO
  • Accounting and tax updates
  • Outsourcing and managed services
  • Endowment management and forecast, presented by Commonfund
  • Admissions and the Business Office relationships
  • Student financial aid update
