2019 Higher Education Training Day: Current Issues and Trends

Please join us on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 as we discuss accounting and finance, student financial aid, cybersecurity and other technology topics, and various tax topics related to higher education.  In addition to presentations from Dean Dorton team members, we are delighted to have Jerry Abramson discuss his time as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at the White House under President Obama. We hope this year’s seminar will provide powerful insights into the challenges facing institutions of higher education.

This training is complimentary and is intended for anyone in the finance and accounting, student financial aid, and internal audit departments including but not limited to Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance, Chief Business Officer and Director of Student Financial Aid. The training will allow up to 6 hours of CPE.

Topics include:

  • Accounting and tax updates
  • Technology, including cybersecurity and GLBA compliance
