Resumé

Crissy obtained her Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky in 1994 and has been practicing public accounting at Dean Dorton since that time. She is currently the leader of the firm’s assurance practice. Throughout her career she has provided audit, accounting, and consulting services for clients in various industries throughout Kentucky.

Industry Expertise

Crissy leads the Dean Dorton college and university team, spending at least 50% of her client service time providing audit, accounting, and consulting services to institutions of higher education. Her client roster includes institutions with up to $1 billion in assets, and her audit experience includes both public and private institutions and affiliated entities. Crissy has served all of our higher education clients and has specialized in student financial aid with each of them.

Crissy has experience in public speaking on a variety of topics. Most recently her presentations have covered Managing reputation risk, purchasing fraud (detection and prevention), and student financial aid from the auditor’s perspective at conferences including:
